Barnet CAMHS is seeking a Clinical / Counselling Psychologist to join our friendly, supportive, and experienced multi-disciplinary mental health team. Main duties of the job
Provide a specialist clinical psychology service within Barnet CAMHS, including psychological assessments and therapy. Offer advice, consultation, and supervision to colleagues and carers. Work independently within professional guidelines and team policies. Utilize research skills for audit, policy, and service development. Contribute to service improvements and deliver evidence-based care.
Advise non-psychologist staff on psychological interventions, including participation in supervision groups. Provide clinical supervision to trainees and less experienced psychologists. Support service development and high-quality care pathways.

Person Specification
Training & Qualifications
* Doctoral-level training in clinical or counselling psychology, including models of psychopathology, psychometrics, neuropsychology, multiple psychological therapies, and lifespan development, accredited by the BPS.
* Registration with the HCPC as a clinical or counselling psychologist.
* Post-doctoral training in evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT, systemic therapy, EMDR) and assessment approaches (e.g., ADOS, 3DI).
Experience
* Experience in psychological assessment and treatment of young people and adolescents with diverse mental health and learning difficulties across various settings.
* Experience working with varied client groups, managing highly emotive and distressing situations professionally.
* Experience in collaboration with Social Care Teams and within specialist learning disability services.
* Experience in teaching, training, and supervision.
* Experience working within the NHS.
Knowledge and Skills
* Skills in complex psychological assessments, interventions, and management requiring sustained concentration.
* Effective communication skills for engaging clients, families, carers, and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
* Consultation skills for working with professional and non-professional groups.
* Doctoral-level knowledge of research methodology and data analysis in clinical psychology.
* Commitment to continuing professional development.
* Good organizational and time management skills.
* Knowledge of psychological therapies for difficult-to-treat groups and relevant legislation.

Salary: £51,883 to £58,544 per annum, inclusive of HCAS.
