Technical Design Manager – Renewable Energy
A leading renewable energy developer is seeking a Technical Design Manager to support the development of large-scale energy infrastructure projects across the UK. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the design and delivery of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage (BESS), Solar PV, Onshore Wind and emerging energy technologies from early-stage development through to construction readiness.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead power system and grid connection design activities for renewable energy projects.
* Support engineering feasibility studies, value engineering and technical optimisation.
* Review and challenge contractor and consultant design deliverables.
* Oversee technical design standards, electrical studies and engineering best practice.
* Collaborate with development, procurement and project delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
* Strong experience in electrical network design and renewable energy projects.
* Knowledge of BESS, Solar PV, Onshore Wind and transmission-connected assets (132kV+).
* Experience with power system studies and tools such as DigSilent PowerFactory and CAD software.
* Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Passion for clean energy and driving the energy transition.
