An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Director to join a fast paced ever changing business where you will play a pivotal role in the business's future, owning the global procurement strategy and leading a function that directly influences financial performance, risk, and long-term sustainability. This is a highly visible leadership role, partnering closely with the Executive Team to inform major investment decisions, build strategic supplier partnerships, and embed procurement as a true value-driving discipline across the organization, drawing on strong commercial and infrastructure-led procurement principles and translating them into a fast-moving, global events environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and lead the global procurement strategy, aligned to organisational objectives, financial sustainability, risk appetite, and long-term growth, ensuring procurement delivers value, resilience, and cost efficiency across the organisation, including the application of robust infrastructure and construction-based procurement disciplines across relevant spend categories. Act as the enterprise-wide authority on procurement, commercial sourcing, and supplier strategy, influencing the strategic direction at executive level and advising on major investments, supplier partnerships, routes to market, and commercial risk. Provide clear, regular reporting and insight to senior leadership on procurement performance, including savings, cost avoidance, supplier performance, market trends, and key risks and opportunities. Hold direct accountability for procurement-related budgets, cost performance, savings delivery, and long-term cost base optimisation, working closely with Finance to shape forecasts, investment decisions, and long-term financial planning. Own and continuously evolve procurement governance, policies, controls, and contract management frameworks, ensuring strong regulatory, legal, financial, and risk management standards across the organisation. Enjoys a fast-paced, start-up environment. Able to pivot between sectors, categories, and operating models, bringing relevance and impact rather than rigid application of past experience.
