We are looking for a Procurement Manager to become part of our can-do and passionate UK Procurement team to lead on direct materials, such as packaging and ingredients. The role is based at our Head Office in Weybridge and we offer a flexible and autonomous environment where you are able to work up to two days a week from home (three days in the office).
YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…
1. Being responsible for various packaging and ingredients categories across the Saputo Dairy UK division within the Directs Procurement team.
2. Developing and managing the categories and being a key driver in challenging how we do things, as well as project execution.
3. Working closely with all functions including R&D, Supply Chain, Marketing and site teams to identify and secure long term value generation, alongside our suppliers, whilst protecting SDUK from risk exposure and establishing a sustainable supply chain.
4. Developing strategies to identify significant bottom-line cost savings, and introduce company-wide best practices to maximise value. You will also ensure that the supply base accurately reflects the business needs and priorities.
5. Supporting the Senior Manager, Procurement in developing strategic plans and budgets, in establishing strong stakeholder alignment, and in designing and implementing a risk management strategy.
YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…
6. Able to demonstrate previous experience in Procurement or as a Category Buyer/Manager, ideally with experience of procuring in plastics categories and extracting innovation from the supply chain.
7. Able to demonstrate a proven track record for delivering sustainable and consistent value improvement projects.
8. Able to demonstrate a track record of successfully building relationships with and engaging key stakeholders in category strategy development and implementation.
