Early Intervention - Care Coordinator - Social Worker
This is an exciting opportunity for a band 6 Social Worker to join the Trafford Early Intervention in Psychosis Team based at Crossgate House in Sale. We work with individuals aged 14-35 years experiencing a First Episode Psychosis.
We are a welcoming, dedicated, and experienced team. We offer a range of psychological therapies and psychosocial interventions, along with a comprehensive training programme across the directorate. We work closely with service users and families, providing behavioural therapy and family interventions. We value service user involvement and encourage participation in service development.
Main duties of the job
We require a highly motivated and committed individual with a genuine passion for providing evidence-based recovery interventions to people experiencing a first episode of psychosis.
The post holder will aim to reduce the impact of psychosis, ensure the individual remains actively involved in life, and focus on living an ordinary life and achieving personal recovery.

Working hours and benefits
* Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any weekday after 8 pm and before 6 am
* All time on Sundays and public holidays (midnight to midnight)

Person Specification
Qualifications/Education
* Core professional qualification in social work
* Evidence of continued professional development
Experience
* Post-registration clinical experience
* Experience working within a multidisciplinary team
* Understanding of the Care Programme Approach and the Mental Health Act 1983, including the needs and rights of carers
* Knowledge and application of risk management and adult safeguarding procedures
* Experience caring for adults with organic and functional mental illnesses
* Ability to conduct initial assessments using a biopsychosocial framework
* Experience working with children and adolescents with mental illness
* Experience working with individuals with psychosis
* Knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 per annum, pro rata
