We are seeking a resilient and relatable Behaviour Mentor to join a dedicated pastoral team at a large secondary school in Mansfield. This role is vital for supporting students who struggle to engage with the standard curriculum, helping them manage their emotions and develop the social skills necessary for success in and out of the classroom. The Snapshot Location: Mansfield, Notts (Easy access from the M1 and A38) Salary: £23,000 – £26,500 (Pro-rata, dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time, Term-time only Start Date: Immediate Detailed Responsibilities 1:1 Mentoring: Holding regular sessions with "at-risk" students to discuss their triggers, aspirations, and barriers to learning. De-escalation: Providing immediate support during incidents, using proven de-escalation techniques (such as Team Teach or PRICE) to help students regulate their behavior. Restorative Justice: Facilitating restorative meetings between students and staff to repair relationships and ensure a positive return to the classroom. Small Group Work: Running targeted workshops on anger management, self-esteem, and social communication.
