LOCATION: Bridgewater House, Bristol – at least 3 days per week in the office
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £87,200 – £109,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

Purpose of the Role
We are looking for two visually gifted, highly experienced and enthusiastic Series Producers to lead an exciting blue‑chip landmark series for a third‑party broadcaster. The right candidates will be highly creative natural‑history storytellers with visual flair, a proven ability to build dramatic, emotionally engaging character stories, and the capability to deliver the standards expected for a landmark natural‑history series. They will understand budget constraints, be an inspiring, considerate and responsible team leader, and oversee every stage of the production process – research and pre‑production, location filming, archive and post‑production.

Your Key Responsibilities And Impact
* Recruit the team and attract the very best talent – from camera crews to researchers, producers and editors. Lead and inspire a large team while managing performance and development.
* Oversee all production processes day‑to‑day and lead the team to deliver a premium landmark behaviour‑led series, ensuring extremely high standards and meeting the editorial aims.
* Create compelling stories and narratives using excellent storytelling techniques and writing skills suitable for a broad audience. Develop and deliver a bold, innovative visual style that delivers the editorial in an engaging and creative way.
* Work closely with all team members at every stage of production to ensure processes that enable the team to deliver the series editorial and visual style.
* Plan strategically to align editorial aspirations with budgets and available resources.
* For the part‑time role, demonstrate experience of fast turnaround, re‑packaging to fit specific editorial steers, and overseeing complex post‑production.
* Collaborate effectively with other Series Producers on the project, ensuring consistency and alignment of editorial vision across the project.
Essential Criteria – Your Skills and Experience
* Extensive experience in blue‑chip natural‑history filmmaking, turning complex stories into compelling television and delivering ambitious sequences, including world‑firsts.
* Exceptional storytelling ability with outstanding editorial judgement and a track record of delivering emotionally engaging sequences and episodes.
* Proven ability to set vision, lead and motivate the team, ensuring that the creative vision for the series is communicated and understood.
* Responsible for constructing and overseeing a full production schedule and budget in conjunction with Production Management and other stakeholders.
* Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
* Experience of building effective, collaborative relationships with Production Managers, other Series Producers, Executive Producers, and clients, including responding to feedback.
Desirable Criteria
* Strong experience of influencing, negotiating, and communicating effectively and sensitively both internally and with external agencies/partners.
* Experience with third‑party clients.
* Experience contributing to marketing and press campaigns.
* Understanding of how to use new technology creatively to enhance storytelling and bring a fresh look to a series.
* Knowledge of audience needs in a rapidly changing US television market.
