Role Overview
We are urgently seeking a younger male to serve as a personal assistant to a 15‑year‑old boy diagnosed with Autism, learning difficulty and an Anxiety Disorder. The role will involve assisting him after school and on some weekends, with details discussed at interview.
The boy enjoys football (Newcastle United or Sunderland), swimming, beach activities, and attends Waves on Saturdays. He likes food outings and is generally happy with active activities. He benefits from regular social interaction with peers. At times he may say inappropriate things or display challenging physical behaviour. He has limited danger awareness in the community and may, when heightened, leave the environment he is in; therefore, close supervision is required when outside.

* Help with daily activities and ensure his safety.
* Encourage participation in preferred activities (football, swimming, outings).
* Provide calm and structured support during moments of anxiety or behavioural difficulty.
* Communicate with caregivers and service providers as required.

* Valid UK driver’s licence (non‑drivers may be considered).
* Permission to work in the UK at the time of appointment.
* Experience or capability in supporting individuals with special educational needs and autism.
* Ability to work after school and on some weekends.
