Purchase Ledger ClerkNewportSalary DOEFull-time | Office-basedMrwell Talent Solutions is delighted to be supporting a well-established organisation in Newport with the appointment of a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their Head Office finance team.This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and detail-focused finance professional to play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the purchase ledger function while building strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues across the business. You will be joining a collaborative and supportive finance team, where teamwork and communication are highly valued.The RoleReporting into the finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the accounts payable process, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made in a timely manner.Key responsibilities will include:Processing high volumes of supplier invoicesMatching, batching and coding invoices accuratelyReconciling supplier statementsPreparing payment runs (BACS and cheque payments)Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and supplier queriesMaintaining accurate and up-to-date financial recordsAssisting with month-end finance proceduresProcessing weekly staff expensesSupporting the wider finance team as requiredAbout YouThe successful candidate will have previous experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced finance environment.You will also demonstrate:Strong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlinesGood working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelProfessional communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholdersA team-oriented approach, with the ability to work collaboratively within a supportive finance teamThis role would also suit someone looking to develop their finance career, with AAT study support available for the right individual.Package & BenefitsFull-time, office-based role in NewportMonday to Friday, 8:00am 4:30pm (37.5 hours per week with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break)22 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysStatutory pensionChristmas shutdownFree onsite parkingAAT study support available for the right candidateSalary and additional benefits will be discussed during the application and interview processIf you would like to find out more about this opportunity, please contact Mrwell Talent Solutions for a confidential discussion ASAPTPBN1_UKTJ
