About the role
Are you an experienced Credit Controller seeking your next challenge?
We are looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance Team based in Eccles, Manchester. This role involves managing a high-value ledger of large groups and national companies, requiring close attention from senior management. You will be part of a team of up to 5 Credit Controllers, each responsible for their own accounts, with collaborative support when needed. The role offers hybrid working: 3 days in the Eccles office and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities
* Collect outstanding debts and minimize overdue balances.
* Reduce ledger value.
* Resolve queries to facilitate prompt payments.
* Allocate cash payments accurately.
* Provide efficient service to internal and external customers.
* Manage your own ledger and accounts.
* Conduct query resolution, cash allocation, and payment chasing via phone and letter.
* Prioritize workload and generate reports using good time management.
* Meet critical deadlines aligned with financial periods.
* Support fellow Credit Controllers as needed.
Requirements
* Experience in a similar finance role.
* Excellent communication skills with internal and external partners.
* A courteous yet tenacious approach.
* Intermediate IT skills, including Excel for reconciliations and reporting.
* Logical, methodical work style to meet financial targets.
* Experience with Oracle/SAP is desirable but training will be provided.
* Team-oriented attitude.
* Proactive, diligent, and adaptable approach.
