Bank Facilities Assistant - Catering Food Service

To provide assistance within Bank Facilities Services team.
Serving patients food at Lunch and Tea meal times, ensuring all equipment, utensils, working surfaces and areas are kept clean and tidy using correct cleaning methods, equipment and chemicals within the Ward Dining Room. The hours will be between 7.30am and 7pm, including weekends and bank holidays
We have in-house training to help your personal development plans and will support you with all of your training needs.
To maintain a high quality patient and customer focused service within the Facilities areas delivering a high standard of cleanliness, infection prevention, provision of safe, nutritious food in line with food hygiene legislation, to be aware of associated health and safety issues and to participate in planned mandatory and professional training
Your primary base will be as per discussion at interview, however multi-site work between sites maybe required.

Job responsibilities
Facilities provides a wide range of non clinical support services to patients, staff and visitors. The services provided include Housekeeping, Linen Services Catering, Retail, Stores/Portering.
Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa. Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* An understanding of cleanliness and good hygiene practices
* Recognised catering ,cleaning or support services qualification
Experience
* Able to carry out instructions and duties as detailed in the job description
* Experience or working within a catering, cleaning or portering environment
* Experience of working within healthcare environment which may include: a catering, cleaning or portering function
* Experience of working within a food safety management system (HACCP)
Skills
* Basic numeracy and literacy skills
* Ability to use own initiative to manage the requirements of the job
* Flexible in managing own time and work duties
* Ability to work alone and as part of a team
* A good understanding of customer service i.e caring, kind, able to hold a conversation with others
* Frequent requirement for standing for long periods
Physical Requirements
* Has the physical ability to perform the full range of duties
Training
* Ability to undertake all mandatory training as required by the individual site
* Ability to undertake any necessary skills and competency training required by the post
Knowledge
