A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Warrington is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support individual pupils and small groups, including those with additional needs. You will help create a positive, nurturing environment where all children feel valued and can achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Providing targeted support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN)
* Assisting in the delivery of differentiated learning activities
* Supporting classroom management and behaviour strategies
* Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils to reinforce learning
* Helping to assess pupil progress and record observations
* Promoting inclusion and positive behaviour across the school
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
* Passionate about working with children
* Patient, caring, and adaptable
* Able to work as part of a team and use their initiative
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Essential Requirements
* Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting
* A good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSEs or equivalent)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable
* Experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech & language needs)
* Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
