Working Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm (Flexibility may be offered).

This is a customer-facing environment where you will be responsible for maintaining Vita Student’s highest standards.
Our Groundsman
A hands-on role, responsible for the maintenance, care, and presentation of outdoor areas. The role ensures that grounds are safe, functional, and visually appealing throughout the year.
* Maintain excellent grounds standards, ensuring the exterior reflects the premium nature of the accommodation.
* Grass cutting and general lawn maintenance.
* Hedge cutting and ongoing upkeep of planted areas.
* Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas clean and tidy.
* Assisting the maintenance team with general tasks as required.
* Support with basic handyman tasks within rooms and the building.
* Painting support during peak periods within the calendar.
* Bin-store / waste management standards and swapping out bins where required.
Who we want to join our team
Professional Experience
An experienced Groundsman who takes pride in their work and enjoys contributing to a well-presented outdoor environment along with support to our internal areas of the building. A successful groundsman combines practical skills, knowledge of turf management, and a strong work ethic to maintain high standards in all weather conditions.
* Prior grounds or landscaping experience would be preferred; however, training will be provided.
* Reliable, practical, and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Basic handyman skills would be ideal.
* Previous experience in customer service is preferred, as the role involves regular interaction with residents and visitors.

* Friendly, sociable, and approachable manner.
* Customer-focused attitude with good communication skills.

* Excellent communication skills. English will be the primary spoken language; however multi-lingual skills would be warmly welcomed.
