About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and innovative organisation delivering secure and sustainable solutions for end-of-life technology equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing copper cabling and precious metal-bearing materials, including circuit board components for both internal use and a sister company.
Key Responsibilities
Source and purchase electronic materials cost-effectively and on time
Create and manage purchase orders aligned with project needs
Track market prices (e.g. LME) and negotiate supplier terms
Work closely with internal teams to meet delivery and quality goals
Identify and manage UK-based suppliers; monitor performance
Ensure compliance with environmental and quality standards (e.g. WEEE, ISO 14001)
Maintain procurement records and support process improvements
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a procurement role within the e-waste recycling industry.
Experience sourcing electronic components or cabling (desirable).
Solid understanding of precious metal-bearing materials and circuit board components.
Knowledge of environmental permits, WEEE directive, and ISO 14001.
Proficient in MRP/ERP systems, CRM platforms (ideally HubSpot), and Excel.
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and supplier management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
