Operations Director
North Yorkshire & Cheshire
£80,000 - £100,000 DOE
A rare opportunity to join a new, ambitious care organisation at the very beginning of their growth journey. Our client has recently acquired their first care home and plans to expand rapidly over the next 12-18 months, with a further three homes already targeted for acquisition. Growth will continue through a series of commissioning projects across the region, creating a stable and exciting platform for long-term development.
They are now seeking an Operations Director who can help shape, build, and drive this organisation forward — with resident-focused care at the heart of every decision.
What We're Looking For
* Passionate about outstanding, resident‑centred care, ensuring quality and lived experience remain the foundation of all operational decisions.
* Ambitious, driven, and confident, with the ability to challenge thinking, influence strategy, and act as a trusted partner to the senior leadership team.
* Someone who has progressed through home management roles, ideally from Registered Manager to multi‑site or regional level, with a deep understanding of what excellent care looks like at ground level.
* Experienced in turnaround, acquisitions, or commissioning, with the capability to create structure and consistency across a growing portfolio.
* Motivated by the opportunity to build something from scratch, embedding culture, governance, and operational excellence.
The Role As Operations Director, you will:
* Oversee and elevate the operational performance of the organisation's first home and all future acquisitions.
* Champion resident‑focused care, ensuring quality, safety, and compassion are central to the organisation's identity.
* Lead on building culture, compliance, governance, and best‑practice systems from day one.
* Support the mobilisation and operational setup of newly acquired and commissioned services.
* Drive improvements in occupancy, staffing, quality, and financial performance across all sites.
* Play a key role in shaping strategy and influencing the future direction of the organisation.
Why This Role?
This is a rare opportunity to join at the earliest stage of a new organisation, have a genuine seat at the table, and help build a modern, values‑driven provider from the ground up. You'll help set the tone, shape the culture, and lead a journey of growth where residents, families, and quality of life always come first.
