Overview
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team. Do you have experience of working with children and young people with sensory processing difficulties? Have you done complex seating assessments before? Do you want to work in a team who puts the children and young people at the front of everything we do?
Responsibilities
* Work flexibly in a hybrid role, with the ability to work from home as well as venues across Knowsley and St Helens in Merseyside, with hours to suit the service.
* Cover new patient assessments, provide advice on sensory-seeking behaviours, review specialist seating within a school environment, and work as part of a team in locations across Knowsley and St Helens.
* Provide high quality, specialist services to children and young people in settings including patient homes, schools, nurseries, children’s centres, and clinics as part of community health services and specialist child health services (including speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and nurses).
* Demonstrate an integrated approach to patient care, working collaboratively with external agencies such as social care and education.
* Manage children and young people with conditions and provide specialist assessments and treatment plans. Caseloads include children with developmental and sensory conditions among others.
* Provide specialist advice, education and competency-based training to parents, carers and other professionals on the management and care of children and young people.
* Supervise other members of the therapy service including junior staff and students.

Requirements and Working Arrangements
* Experience of working with children and young people with sensory processing difficulties.
* Experience of complex seating assessments.
* Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the appropriate regulatory body.
* Ability to work flexibly with hybrid working options (home-based and venues across Knowsley and St Helens).
* Post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
* Flexible working requests will be considered for all roles.
