Senior Business Development Manager - Total Waste Management Solutions

The Role: The successful Senior Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and developing a pipeline of new business opportunities worth millions of pounds with national multisite organisations within the public and private sectors such as education, hospitals, hotel chains, and retail to deliver profitable revenue growth. You will manage your daily activities, plan journeys, set up business meetings proactively, and drive sales by providing high levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively seek new business on a national basis to meet set targets
* Achieve and exceed quarterly/annual new business targets
* Report calls, leads, quotes, and contract activity on the CRM
* Produce and present weekly, monthly, quarterly personal performance reports
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as the Depot Manager and Operations team to implement sales initiatives within the region
* Be the primary interface for target customers
* Present to board level
* Work with tenders and bids team when preparing tenders
* Handle sales prospecting and pricing negotiations

Candidate Criteria:
* Experience in corporate sales of high-value, complex services
* Ideally, background in waste or FM sectors
* Sold at head office level to decision-makers like board members
* Sold £500,000 to over £1 million order values
* Experience in consultative sales, bids, and tenders
* Proven track record in new business sales
