The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will inspire a love of literature and language, delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the national curriculum
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Support students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
Contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities
Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Degree in English or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge and passion for English literature and language
Excellent classroom management skills
Strong communication and organisational abilities
Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
Desirable
Experience teaching GCSE and/or A-Level English
Ability to contribute to school clubs or enrichment programmes

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
