As an Engineering Change Management Specialist at Boston Dynamics, you will facilitate the planning and implementation of changes driven by rapid design iteration of our early-stage products in our development plant. As a member of the Operations Program Management team, every day you will work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare our in-house production for upcoming changes, ensuring a smooth implementation and the highest product quality. You will be a self-starter who can maintain focus on the big picture while managing the huge number of small details to drive consensus on a day-to-day basis and foster effective collaboration. Day-to-day activities:
* Manage the change implementation process by developing and driving individual mini-projects for each product change, and running the Change Implementation Board (CIB).
* Contribute to process changes and continuous improvements to enabling better change management results while reducing required stakeholder effort.
* Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, test, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment and effective change implementation. Hold teams accountable to schedule and expedite/escalate when needed.
* Manage preparation and execution of Qualification Builds for product changes that require them.
* Understand the current design and goals for the change and possible dependencies to other changes.
* Support setting goals for customer impact, cost, reliability, manufacturing, and serviceability for changes in the review phase.
* Support estimating cost impacts in direct material, capital improvements, and labor for each change.
* Provide direct DFx feedback for changes and/or involve the relevant experts from the broader Ops team.
* Strategically and proactively identify potential risks and blockers and develop plans to mitigate those risks.
* Serve as a technical resource to scope out resources needed to deliver new designs into production.
* Effectively report changes to timelines, resource allocation, and expectations to all stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in Arena or similar PLM
* Experience with cross-program Change Management analytics
* Experience in Manufacturing and Engineering teams
* Understanding of Engineering drawings, technical documentation packages, product development process flow, and manufacturing operations processes.
The pay range for this position is between $ 101,545.95 to $139,625.68 annually. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
