St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Shop Manager to join our team in Somerton. You will join us on a permanent basis and in return, you will receive a salary of £20,685.60 per annum. This is a 30‑hour per week, part‑time role, worked across two days. Flexibility is essential, as you will be expected to work additional hours from time to time to support shop cover, particularly during holidays, sickness, or busy periods. What can you expect to be doing? As Shop Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring our store continues to be a welcoming, community‑focused shopping destination. You will lead a blended team of staff and a committed group of volunteers, ensuring everyone feels valued, supported, and part of the St Margaret’s family. You will: Be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of a busy and well‑established store Lead, develop, and inspire a team of staff and volunteers Work as part of a team to drive sales and maximise profit to support our vital hospice services Create a positive shopping experience for our broad and loyal customer base Maintain and enhance the store’s performance, identity, and reputation within the local community Support the Area Manager with recruitment, training, and development of the team This is a physically demanding role in a busy retail environment and will include lifting donated goods.
