Complex and Specialist Care Support Worker
Location: Cheshire
Rate: £13.72 per hour (Days) | £12.60 per hour (Nights) PAYE
Contract: 12-week initial placement | 36 hours per week
Overview
We are seeking experienced and compassionate Complex and Specialist Care Support Workers to join a dedicated team providing specialist 3:1 support to adults with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities, and challenging behaviour.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Support Worker to make a real impact by delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a stable and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day care and emotional support to adults with complex behavioural and mental health needs.
Work within a 3:1 staffing model to ensure a safe, consistent, and structured environment.
Support individuals with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement.
Implement and follow individualised care and behaviour support plans.
Maintain accurate documentation, including incident reports and daily notes.
Assist with medication prompts and administration in line with policy and training.
Promote independence, dignity, and choice at all times.
Maintain professional boundaries and contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Uphold safeguarding, equality, and health & safety standards at all times.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience in health and social care, ideally within complex or specialist care settings.
Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and/or challenging behaviour.
PMVA or equivalent restraint and de-escalation training.
NVQ/Diploma Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Good communication and interpersonal skills with a calm, professional approach.
Right to work in the UK and up-to-date compliance documentation.
Flexibility to work a mix of day and waking night shifts.
Additional Information
Placements are long-term (approx. 12 weeks) with potential for extension.
Full compliance and mandatory training required prior to placement.
Candidates will receive specialist training relevant to the service and client needs.
