A respected and expanding law firm in Newcastle are looking for an experienced Credit Hire Claims Handler to join its specialist team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong credit hire knowledge looking to progress within a stable and supportive legal environment.
You will manage a caseload of pre-litigated and litigated credit hire claims, working closely with solicitors and senior team members to achieve timely and cost-effective outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Handling credit hire claims from instruction to settlement
* Assessing liability, quantum, and prospects of success
* Dealing with hire disputes, impecuniosity arguments, and mitigation issues
* Negotiating settlements and drafting correspondence
* Liaising with clients, insurers, and third parties
* Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and deadlines
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience handling credit hire claims (claimant or defendant)
* Good working knowledge of credit hire principles and relevant case law
* Strong negotiation and communication skills
* Ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision
* Experience within a law firm or insurance environment

1. Salary: £28,000 £36,000 per annum, depending on experience
