Overview of Product Manager Role:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Product Manager to join the UK division of a Global Engineering and Manufacturing Group.
Based at their Engineering HQ near Hitchin, this role focuses on managing a portfolio of physically engineered mechanical components used in critical infrastructure applications.
Please note: This is not a digital or SaaS product management role. We are seeking candidates with experience in manufactured goods and engineered products, not software or service platforms.
Key Responsibilities of the Product Manager:
Lead New Product Development (NPD) of MECHANICAL & MANUFACTURED Products & components
Manage product lifecycle and performance across global markets
Drive SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) and demand forecasting
Define and implement pricing strategies and business models
Maintain product certifications and approvals
Candidate Requirements Required for Product Manager Role:
Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Business discipline
Proven experience in product management of manufactured goods
Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills
Advanced Excel and solid IT proficiency
Background in industrial manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or infrastructure sectors preferred
Not suitable for candidates from purely digital/SaaS product backgrounds
