Job Title : HGV Class 2 Dust Cart Driver Location : Enfield, London Basic Salary : Range, From 14.64 to 17.3 per hour Employment Type : Temporary Ongoing, Permanent Job Description : We are currently seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 2 Drivers to work as part of a Waste Collection Crew in a dual Driver/Loader role for a public sector contract. As a key member of the waste team, you will be responsible not only for driving a 26-tonne rear-steer dustcart through residential streets but also assisting your crew with the manual loading of bins and maintaining route efficiency and safety. Shift Pattern Monday to Friday Early morning starts between 04:30 and 06:00 AM No guaranteed hours work allocated weekly based on performance and demand Some Bank Holiday work may be required Key Responsibilities : Operating rear-steer dust carts safely through narrow streets and residential zones Leading and participating in bin loading alongside other crew members Following collection routes and communicating delays to supervisors Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any faults immediately Adhering to health & safety guidelines and council regulations Requirements : Full UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence CPC qualification (DQC Card) Domestic tacho use (Digi card not used) Maximum of 6 penalty points (no major offences) Experience driving refuse collection vehicles or operating within waste management is highly desirable Must be physically fit and happy to carry out loading duties alongside driving Benefits : Weekly Pay Paid Induction Opportunity for long-term ongoing work and potential Temp-to-Perm Strong safety culture and team-focused environment PPE provided (safety boots, gloves, hi-vis) Pay Rates : PAYE: £14.64/hour (first 12 weeks) £17.30/hour (after 12 weeks AWR uplift) How To Apply : If you meet the above requirements and are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, we want to hear from you!
