Maths Teacher

Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a secondary school in Northamptonshire to recruit a full-time Maths Teacher for a fixed-term teaching position from 20th April until 19th June 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Maths specialist to join a supportive school environment for the summer term and make a positive impact on students’ progress and confidence in mathematics.
The Role
The successful candidate will deliver Maths lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students in developing strong numerical understanding and problem-solving skills.
This is a full teaching role, meaning the successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparation, marking, and assessment, as well as supporting the wider aims of the Maths department.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and well-structured Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
Plan lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and schemes of work
Mark and assess student work and monitor academic progress
Support students of varying abilities to achieve their potential
Contribute positively to the Maths department and wider school community

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable but not essential
Experience teaching Maths at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and ability to engage students in the classroom
Effective classroom management and communication skills
Ability to commit to the full duration of the contract including planning and marking responsibilities
