Are you a dynamic, values-driven leader with a heart for Christian care? Pilgrims' Friend Society is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of care homes across the country. You will support our care & business managers and ensure high-quality care services rooted in our Christian ethos.
We are a Christian charity with a 200-year legacy, operating 12 care homes and 9 housing schemes across England and Scotland, dedicated to helping older people live fulfilled, dignified lives.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the delivery of the Society's vision in all residential homes;
2. Line managing and developing home managers;
3. Overseeing audits, inspections, and compliance;
4. Implementing strategic goals with the Director and Assistant Director of Operations;
5. Supporting marketing, occupancy, and communication strategies;
6. Serving as a primary contact for operational queries and resolving service-user issues;
7. Participating in on-call support as part of the leadership team.
About You:
1. Experience as a Registered Care Home Manager or with a nursing qualification and management experience;
2. Experience managing multi-site settings;
3. Minimum of 3 years' experience in residential care;
4. Willingness to travel nationwide (at least once a week);
5. Strong understanding of care quality, compliance, and CQC standards;
6. Budget management skills;
7. IT proficiency (MS Office, electronic care plans, auditing);
8. Skills in auditing, budgeting, and project management;
9. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills;
10. Alignment with Christian faith and support for our mission and values.
This role has an Occupational Requirement to be filled by a Christian under the provisions of the Equality Act (2010).

Hours: 40 hours/week, usually over 5 days, with on-call duties.
