About the role
We are expanding our freelance talent pool for Digital Content Strategists; specialists who can interpret campaign briefs, apply audience insights, and develop digital-first strategies that maximise reach and impact across platforms.
In this role, you will take the lead in shaping content direction: recommending formats, placements, and approaches tailored to campaign goals and audience behaviour. While strategy is the core of the role, you’ll also be comfortable producing and adapting content, from social copy to short-form videos and graphics, to bring ideas to life when needed. This is an opportunity to contribute to purpose-driven campaigns of global importance, combining digital strategy, creative thinking, and hands-on production to make ideas resonate across diverse audiences.
Key responsibilities
1. Interpret briefs and translate them into actionable content strategies, recommending formats, platforms, aspect ratios, placements, and tone of voice.
2. Contribute original ideas in brainstorms and project meetings, shaping campaign narratives and social storytelling.
3. Use research and platform data to understand audience behaviours, preferences, and trends, and translate these into actionable content strategies.
4. Oversee content planning and optimisation, ensuring creative is audience-relevant, accessible, and aligned with campaign objectives.
5. Develop and advise on paid and organic distribution strategies, identifying the right channels, budgets, and optimisation approaches to maximise content reach and impact.
6. Support with hands-on content production where required (short-form videos, animations, explainers, graphics, carousels, and social cards).
7. Repurpose existing creative into new digital formats, maximising effectiveness across multiple platforms.
8. Stay up to date with evolving digital trends, platform updates, and user behaviours to inform strategy and execution.
9. Monitor and interpret analytics (reach, engagement, retention, conversions) to evaluate content effectiveness and inform future campaigns.
10. Collaborate with designers, researchers, and campaign teams, responding to feedback and ensuring final outputs are of the highest quality.
