My client is a leading supplier of professional coating products and services seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (East Anglia Region and part of North London) to join the team.
The ideal candidate will be a successful new business sales professional with a proactive 'hunter' approach, ideally with experience in the coating industry (Automotive Refinishing, Industrial, Wood Coatings, Light Industrial, Refinish industry).
This role offers remote working with trips to the Head Office near Portsmouth as needed.

Role Responsibilities:
1. Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products, and services.
2. Establish new business through an active sales pipeline, recorded in SharePoint.
3. Implement new business initiatives in line with the business group strategy.
4. Identify and contact the appropriate decision-makers within organizations.
5. Meet with customers/clients face-to-face, via phone, or video call.
6. Record all visits and interactions using the current reporting software.
7. Develop and maintain strong internal and external business relationships.
8. Identify key areas for development within the customer portfolio.
9. Maintain a customer database for mailshot campaigns via head office.
10. Gather and provide feedback on competitor activities and market trends.
11. Handover new accounts to the regional team after a 3-month initial development period.
