We are seeking an exceptional, motivated and student-focused teacher to join our team as a Head of Year, with a teaching specialism of English, Maths, Science or PSHCE. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is ready to take on a significant pastoral leadership role while continuing to deliver high-quality teaching in their subject area.
The successful candidate will:
1. Lead the academic progress, behaviour, attendance and wellbeing of a designated year group.
2. Build strong relationships with students, families and staff to create a positive, inclusive and aspirational culture.
3. Work closely with the Senior Leadership team, safeguarding leads and pastoral colleagues to ensure every student is supported to achieve, belong and participate.
4. Teach their specialist subject to a high standard, contributing to curriculum development and raising achievement across the department.
5. Support whole school initiatives and contribute to the wider life of the school.
