Job Description: Assistant Temporary Works Manager

Key Responsibilities
* Support in Temporary Works Design and Implementation: Assist in managing temporary works designs and their implementation at the site level. Learn to ensure compliance with Temporary Works (TW) procedures and help assess and control all associated risks.
* Assist with Technical Reviews and Design Coordination: Support in technical reviews and design coordination of live projects. Aid in managing amendments and changes to TW requirements, and provide input on typical TW items.
* Inspections and Audits: Participate in inspections and audits to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality. Receive guidance and training to conduct these activities independently.
* Design Assistance: Support in undertaking in-house designs or checking designs provided by subcontractors and consultants, ensuring they meet required specifications and standards.
* Liaison and Technical Advice: Collaborate with the design and build teams, providing technical advice and knowledge on civil engineering matters. Accompany senior team members to site visits to supervise works on complex or challenging activities, gaining hands‑on experience.

* Resides within a 50-mile radius of Hitchin.
