You will undertake inspection, repairs, maintenance, improvement, alteration, or other works as required to our customers' homes (whether occupied or void) and to our schemes, estates, and other property assets as part of the In-House Repairs Service.
Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures of LHP and meet operational and commercial targets whilst prioritizing the customer.
Ensure all work is carried out effectively and efficiently.
Undertake works associated with major and minor new construction, including 1st fix, 2nd fix, etc.
Perform other duties appropriate to the post objectives as required by management (appropriate to the level of the post).
Maximize output and efficiency while minimizing waste.
Maintain and use van stock effectively.
Update the housing management system regarding work carried out.
Participate in the Out of Hours call-out rota to attend emergency repairs.
Liaise with planners and other departments to ensure work is completed within customer timeframes.
We are seeking multiple customer-focused, multi-skilled tradespeople with strong experience in Plumbing and Joinery. You should have extensive domestic experience in Joinery and Plumbing, with good knowledge of other trades to carry out repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment in LHP properties. You will be provided with a company vehicle, fuel card, branded work clothes, and necessary tools.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of skills, technology, and safety procedures required for the duties.
Understand and interpret work instructions, drawings, and schematic diagrams.
Communicate effectively on a one-to-one basis and produce written information, including work documentation.
Must hold a full valid driving license.
Be able to use PDA/iPad and other electronic communication devices.
