This position supports a vital facilities management contract within the UK justice system, helping to maintain clean, safe, and operational prison environments. You'll deliver planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across the site, contributing to the wellbeing of residents and staff.
As the Plumber, you will:
Complete routine and emergency plumbing maintenance, fault finding, and repairs.
Maintain and repair mains water supply systems and replace expired equipment.
Conduct water sampling and risk assessments in line with Legionella (L8) guidance.
Monitor and manage systems via the Building Management System (BMS).
Support sustainability goals through energy-efficient practices.
Ensure health and safety compliance and assist with tasks such as working at height or outdoors when needed. What you’ll bring:
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and Heating (or equivalent trade qualification).
Experience operating light plant and plumbing systems in a commercial or industrial setting.
Understanding of Legionella control and commercial plumbing systems (desirable).
A strong commitment to health and safety practices.
Willingness to work 1 in 3 weekends (with 15% uplift in basic salary).
