My client, an innovative, highly-respected Multidisciplinary Consultancy, is currently searching for a Senior Drainage Engineer to join their experienced team of design engineers, based near the historical, up-and-coming Welsh city of Wrexham.
Essential Criteria:
1. A Degree in Hydrology or a similar, relevant background
2. Extensive consultancy experience within the industry
3. Chartered Engineer status (or actively working toward attaining this)
4. Evidence of having won proposals and projects
5. Demonstrable experience of producing and reviewing technical reports
6. Experience of managing projects and teams, effectively delivering projects through to successful completion
7. A valid UK driving licence, with a willingness to travel to sites as and when required
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Senior Drainage Engineer to possess the following skills:
8. Postgraduate qualification in geosciences (or similar, relevant discipline)
9. A forward-thinking mindset, remaining flexible and adaptable across a range of projects
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. Experience of managing a range of stakeholder relations
In the fast-paced role of Senior Drainage Engineer, you will join a dedicated team of experts in the field, with a view to developing your career as you progress. The role will involve a number of exciting responsibilities, including:
12. Leading business development strategies, overseeing the acquisition of sites, developing flood mitigation strategies, and supporting planning applications
13. Providing technical leadership, producing the highest standards of project delivery
14. Overseeing authorship of Flood Risk Assessments and flood investigations
15. Supporting the development of Sustainable Drainage Strategies (SuDS), ensuring technical excellence in report writing
16. Providing mentorship and guidance to junior consultants
17. Working with the team to develop and implement sustainable solutions
18. Developing and maintaining excellent customer relations with a range of stakeholders across the public and private sectors
