In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. The purpose of the role is to provide technical support, work package collaboration, and project management across a range of Engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Lead the Quality Compliance Team
Responsible for leading a team of Quality Auditors
Interact cross‑functionally and cross‑BU and present to the Executive Team on all Quality Management System issues, with regular (weekly) contact with customers and regulatory bodies on quality issues.
Lead Business Management System (BMS) projects from Safran Group
Serve as focal point for Safety Management System (SMS) requirements
Requirements
Degree level or equivalent experience in an Engineering / Manufacturing related discipline.
Lean / 6 Sigma knowledge and general improvement tools.
In‑depth knowledge of Aerospace Regulations (e.g. EASA, FAA, AS9100).
8D analysis and report writing (desirable).
Risk Analysis.
Preferred AS9100 Lead Assessor, EASA Part 21/145, FAA 145 auditor.
Experience dealing with regulatory authorities.
Quality and production experience.
Competent in Microsoft Office packages.
Problem‑solving skills (including 8D, 5 whys).
Leadership and/or management qualification.
