Contract Type: Full Time, Temporary until 16/08/2030 Allan Water House/ Mobile An excellent opportunity has arisen within our Housing Service where you will work as a Modern Apprentice Roofer within the Construction Trades visiting tenants visiting existing housing stock to undertake roof replacements and carry out repairs; g installing new roofs on our new builds and assisting with the Solar Panel Installation programme as well as undertaking work to historic buildings using traditional materials and methods. You will learn how to work to all the various Council Standards including Health & Safety and Customer Service and carry out other duties as required for the Service. As a Modern Apprentice, you will work towards the Roofing Modern Apprenticeship SCQF Level 6 and be willing to undertake any other training relevant to the role. You will be 16-19 years old (or a 2026 official summer leaver) and be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm this role and a commitment to learn. This opportunity is funded through the Modern Apprenticeship scheme and candidates between 20-29 years old may be eligible for enhanced funding if you have a disability or are care experienced. The successful candidate will be required to undertake Level 1 Disclosure check.
