The shift pattern is Mon-Fri 0830-1630/1600, from mid-August to mid-April, with annualised contract terms.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for 1 Nurse Coordinator to join the School Immunisation Team. The Nurse Coordinator will lead and manage a team of registered nurses and healthcare support workers to deliver national public health immunisation programs to school-aged children across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and associated Health and Social Care Partnership areas. Our service aims to promote the health and wellbeing of children and young people, reduce health inequalities, and meet national and local health objectives through preventative care.
This role covers one of our four school immunisation service areas, structured across four teams. The post holder will work across NHS GG&C HSCP teams:
* Renfrew and Inverclyde Team
* East Renfrewshire and South Glasgow Team
* North East Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire Team – This post
* North West Glasgow and West Dunbartonshire Team
Please note that this position requires GGC Board-wide and cross-boundary working.
Essential Criteria:
* First Level Nursing Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* Knowledge of national policy drivers for immunisations
* Evidence of ongoing professional development in immunisation
* PVG Scheme Membership / Disclosure Scotland Check
This is a permanent position working an annualised hours contract from mid-August to mid-April (8 months), 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30 to 16.30/16.00. Salary is annualised over a 12-month period and paid at 24.8 hours per week.
