Robert Half are working with a prominent professional services firm based in North Leeds who are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant for a role to support the team through a number of business transitions.
In this high-visibility position, you'll take immediate responsibility for monthly consolidation and month end close processes, delivering timely and accurate results. Your expertise will enable the permanent staff to focus on strategic business initiatives, making a proactive mindset and the ability to work quickly essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and execute all consolidation and month-end close tasks independently
2. Maintain accuracy, timeliness, and compliance within all accounting operations
3. Identify opportunities for process improvements and immediate solutions
4. Collaborate closely with Senior Managers and share best practices across the team
5. Provide support and guidance to junior team members as needed
What We're Seeking:
6. Demonstrated experience at Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager level in complex, fast-paced environments
7. Advanced knowledge of consolidation, MEC, and financial controls
8. Proficiency with a large business system in a larger business
9. Strong resilience, adaptability, and problem-solving skills
10. Quick learner with new systems and processes
11. Excellent attention to detail and exceptional communication abilities
