An opportunity has arisen to work in an exciting and dynamic service providing high intensity psychological interventions for the Doncaster Long Term Conditions Talking Therapies team.
We are looking for a psychotherapeutic counsellor who has the energy, enthusiasm, and skills to join our team who are committed to making a difference within the RDaSH Talking Therapies service. The service has been well established providing a stepped care, evidenced-based model for the treatment of people with common mental health problems. You will be hard-working and able to meet specified targets, in order to deliver a high quality talking therapies service.
To provide a qualified specialist psychological therapy service to clients who are presenting with symptoms of depression and anxiety in the context of living with long term physical health conditions. This involves providing specialist psychological assessment and therapy, within one or more psychological therapy models specified by the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression manual.
To provide advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to colleagues and to other, non-professional carers. It will involve supervision of other colleagues including trainee High Intensity Therapists and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, as well as trainees from other professional groups as appropriate.
The post holder works autonomously within professional guidelines and within the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures. To utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by the team/service.
