Responsibilities
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems, machinery, and production lines
* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimize downtime
* Maintain conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, and other mechanical components
* Ensure compliance with food safety, mechanical, and workplace safety standards
* Support installation and commissioning of new or upgraded equipment
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
* Collaborate with production and electrical teams to improve equipment reliability
* Participate in shift work or on-call duties as required
Skills
* SVQ3 and HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Proven experience in an industrial or food processing environment
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial machinery
* Experience working with preventive maintenance programs and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals
* Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* Strong commitment to safety, hygiene, and food safety standards
* Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, or similar food safety systems

4 on 4 off, days and nights 06.00 - 18.00 and 18.00 - 06.00
Salary
Salary from: £36,376.00
