We aim to maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients within the Hospice. You will work under the instructions of a qualified nurse to give care to patients and their families while undertaking clerical duties as required.
Patient stays average 2‑3 weeks. You will work in a multidisciplinary setting with high nurse‑to‑patient ratios, enabling meaningful relationships and high‑quality care.
Compensation includes Band 2 (£252,72 per annum full time) with enhanced rates. Hours up to 37.5 per week, 7‑day working pattern. Closing date 17:00 12th June 2026.
Responsibilities
* Provide nursing care to patients in the Inpatient Unit.
* Assist with daily living activities and medication administration under the supervision of a qualified nurse.
* Maintain accurate records and complete clerical tasks as required.
* Work as part of a multi‑professional team to meet complex patient needs.
* Support patients' families and provide emotional support.
* Adhere to hospice values and uphold a compassionate, accountable, respectful, equitable and sustainable approach.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 in Care (or equivalent) and basic IT skills.
* Experience in an inpatient or residential setting or with life‑limiting illness is an advantage.
