Whitehall Resources is seeking a Desktop Support Engineer for an initial 6-month onsite contract in London. This role is inside IR35.
Responsibilities include:
1. Building and refurbishing Windows 10 desktops and laptops, including OS and application installation via Azure AD.
2. Providing support for desktops and laptops within MMD infrastructure.
3. Managing CMDB and supporting Windows 10/11 deployment issues.
4. Assisting users with application installations and first-level support.
5. Remote troubleshooting of desktop, laptop, tablet, and phone issues.
6. Managing end-to-end infrastructure from devices to core applications.
7. Supporting network, user accounts, Microsoft Exchange, printers, device management via Intune, antivirus, and patch deployment.
8. Supporting meeting room setups and operating system performance and troubleshooting.
9. Resolving Office 365 issues, collaborating with teams, and maintaining documentation.
10. Performing device movement, setup, and dispatch, with willingness to travel across UK locations.
11. Supporting hardware and software management, Windows configuration, and security.
Key skills required:
* Support experience with Windows 7 and 10, including remote support.
* Hardware and software management expertise.
* Proficiency with Windows, tablets, Office 365, device security, and antivirus programs.
* Remote troubleshooting skills, customer-oriented attitude, problem-solving, and excellent communication skills.
* Powershell scripting and registry knowledge.
