Our client is the Real Estate division of a long-term, state-backed institutional investor, focused on deploying capital across real estate markets in the UK and Europe. As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking to hire an Associate to join their London-based investment team.

Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to the development and refinement of European real estate investment strategies.
* Support deal execution through detailed financial modelling and the creation/maintenance of underwriting models, ensuring accuracy and analytical integrity.
* Assist in analysing, structuring, negotiating, and recommending new investment opportunities.
* Prepare high-quality internal investment memoranda for review by senior investment professionals.
* Support transaction execution processes, including due diligence, underwriting, and coordination of legal documentation.
* Assist in asset management of existing investments, including direct assets, joint ventures, and fund positions, with a focus on value creation.
* Provide support to senior team members in business development and relationship management efforts.
* Produce timely and accurate reporting for control functions and senior management.
* Collaborate with colleagues to prepare clear, effective presentations and materials.

Background & Experience

* Strong academic background with a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g., finance, accounting, economics, real estate, or banking).
* 3–5 years of relevant real estate transactional experience in the UK and/or Europe.
* Experience ideally gained in real estate investment banking/advisory, or on the buy-side within real estate private equity.
* Solid understanding of financial structures, including equity and debt instruments, listed and private markets, JVs, and both direct and indirect investment structures.
* Advanced financial modelling skills with strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
* Fluency in English; proficiency in an additional European language is advantageous.
* Analytical, proactive, and results-driven team player, comfortable working in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
