Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site (or remote) position for a Contracts Engineer based in Wakefield. The Contracts Engineer will oversee the management of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met. Responsibilities include reviewing project specifications, liaising with clients and suppliers, preparing CAD designs, coordinating installations, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role also involves preparing cost estimates, project documentation, and providing post-installation support to clients as needed.
Qualifications
* Experience in project management, including scheduling, cost estimation, and overseeing implementation.
* Technical expertise with engineering tools such as CAD software and experience in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations, particularly HSE HSG258 guidelines, with BOHS P601 or P604 certifications preferred.
* Strong communication and client liaison skills to coordinate effectively between teams, suppliers, and customers.
* Ability to problem-solve and work under tight deadlines to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Experience in the dust and fume extraction or related industrial sectors is advantageous.
* A relevant engineering qualification (e.g., mechanical or industrial) is preferred.
