Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant are:
3. Support the Finance Management in the investigation and analysis of GL Accounts, mappings, and high-volume data between systems.
4. Recommendations and production of accurate reconciliation files.
5. Report design, validation, functionality, and integration in to BAU
6. Prepare and maintain reports as required for Finance and circulation
7. Develop and input into problem solving and required work arounds
8. Data migration reconciliations post go live
9. Liaise with other departments to understand and clear items identified in a timely manner
10. Data Cleansing and analysing over 90day old reconciliation items ensuring all can be identified, explained, with zero items pending over 90 days, except where genuine business rationale exists
11. Other functions: Support the broader Finance team and cover where requiredInvolvement in the system development in the various phasesPrepare and post journals where requiredPrepare and implement procedure notes, working files for circulation and approval
The Successful Applicant
The successful Management Accountant will be:
12. Part qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
13. Prior knowledge of ALFA / Odessa / Exact desirable
14. Prior experience working in Leasing / Asset Finance / Banking preferable
15. IT Change management experience from a Finance perspective
16. Good level of understanding of Finance reconciliations
17. Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot tables, Vlookup function
18. IFRS9 Knowledge advantageous
19. Inquisitive mindset, investigating, problem solving experience
20. Can work to group finance deadlines, with ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
21. Good people, time management, and organisational skills,
22. Good written and verbal communication skills
23. Demonstrable professional conduct when dealing with colleagues
24. Self-disciplined, motivated and time efficient
