Gloucester Rugby, formed in 1873, are a Premiership rugby team based at Kingsholm Stadium in the city of Gloucester.
The Purchase Ledger Administrator is responsible for ensuring that all supplier invoices, staff expenses, and payment transactions are processed accurately and on time through the company's automated invoicing system, SICON. The role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash flow management, and ensuring supplier relationships are managed effectively.
Working within the finance team, the Purchase Ledger Administrator will take ownership of the accounts payable function, from invoice capture in SICON through to payment runs, whilst maintaining compliance with company policies and financial controls. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidence in using finance systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
* Administration Purchase ledger, including managing our automated invoice processing system (SICON).
* Ensuring VAT is correctly declared on purchase invoices.
* Reconciliation of purchase ledger account queries and liaising with suppliers as required.
* Ensuring accuracy of new and existing supplier records.
* Compiling and accurately recording daily banking.
* Maintaining appropriate electronic and paper records including invoices, statements and remittance advice.
* Supporting the Finance Manager.
* Any other duties reasonably requested by the management of Gloucester Rugby
