We’re growing fast and delivering impactful brand and creative strategies for sponsors and rights holders such as UEFA, Tommy Hilfiger, Lidl, Visa, adidas, FIFA, Suzuki, Eintracht Frankfurt and Acer The Role As Head of Strategy, you’ll shape the agency’s strategic vision and drive the development and execution of brand, campaign, and sponsorship strategies that redefine what‘s possible in sports marketing and creative solutions. This role champions fame-driving creativity, cultural relevance and tangible business impact, reporting to the Managing Director and collaborating closely with our integrated global team. You will play a senior, highly visible leadership role that fuses strategic discipline, audience insight, innovation, and sponsorship measurement. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Set and deliver strategy across brand, creative, sponsorship and campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients. Creative Excellence: Partner with creative teams and executive leadership to embed strategic thinking into the creative process, driving fame, impact, and ultimately ROI for our clients Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams spanning brand planning, data analytics, CX, creative, social and media Commercial Focus: Maximise sponsorship performance and measurable ROI through data analysis, audience insight, and activation programmes. Client Partnering: Build deep, trusted relationships with senior clients, serving as a strategic advisor on their core business challenges, and unlocking organic growth and new business opportunities. Thought Leadership: Champion Sid Lee Sport’s reputation for strategic and creative excellence in industry forums, develop distinct POVs, and reinforce our position as the voice for culturally relevant, fame-driving sport strategy. Team Development: Recruit, mentor and build an inclusive team of planners, analysts, and strategists with expertise in cultural intelligence and AI-enabled synthesis. Integrated Campaigns: Oversee multi-channel communications plans that bring integrated campaigns to market, with particular emphasis on fan engagement. Workshops & Innovation: Lead strategic workshops and sessions on segmentation, positioning, and marketing effectiveness. Industry Foresight: Monitor and leverage major trends, from digital transformation and AI to new models in sponsorship, content creation, and fan experience. Stretch Goals Become an industry thought leader, driving new strategic approaches within the agency and influencing best practice globally. Engage with industry awards, forums, bodies, and networks to ensure Sid Lee Sport is at the forefront of industry conversations. Pioneer methodological innovation that elevates Sid Lee Sport and the broader Sid Lee network. What We’re Looking For Senior-level strategic experience (10 years), ideally within sports, sponsorship, or creative agencies. Deep knowledge of trends in sport, sponsorship, audience measurement, and cultural relevance - both domestic and international. Proven leadership; ability to build, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams. Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills. Expert in leveraging data analytics and insight for commercial and creative impact. Proven track record in delivering innovative campaigns, activation programs, and real commercial results. Outstanding communication and presentation abilities. Direct experience with AI, synthetic data, or digital innovation in sports marketing is a strong plus. Genuine passion for sport - whether through professional experience, a love of sports culture, or deep interest in sports marketing.
