Our client are a well-established and growing business with an annual turnover of approximately £5 million. We are looking for a hands-on, all-round Accounts Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function and ensure the smooth running of all accounting processes.
The Role
This is a key position within the business where you will manage the full accounts function using Sage. The successful candidate will be confident working independently and capable of handling accounts from transactional processing through to management reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the full accounts function using Sage
* Preparing monthly management accounts
* Overseeing sales and purchase ledgers
* Managing bank reconciliations and cash flow
* Processing VAT returns
* Credit control and supplier payments
* Liaising with external accountants for year-end accounts
* Maintaining accurate financial records and improving processes where needed
About You
* Proven experience in a similar all-round accounts role
* Strong working knowledge of Sage accounting software
* Experience managing accounts for an SME business
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and take ownership of the finance function
* AAT qualified or equivalent experience preferred
