We’re looking for a Specialist Support Worker to join our team, providing tailored housing support to customers with a history of homelessness, rough sleeping, and complex needs. You’ll be helping people settle into their new homes, access vital services, and take steps towards independent living. What you’ll be doing: In this role, you’ll support customers both in their homes and out in the community across Braintree, helping them settle into accommodation and access the services they need. You’ll build trusting relationships with people who’ve faced significant challenges, advocating for their wellbeing, independence, and positive relationships. You’ll work to create psychologically informed environments where individuals feel heard and respected, while managing risk effectively to keep everyone safe. Collaboration is key, and you’ll work closely with partners to ensure joined-up support. Lone working is a regular part of the role, so confidence and self-motivation are essential. What we’re looking for: * Experience delivering high-quality support services. * Knowledge of housing, homelessness, and social care systems. * Confidence working with vulnerable people and those who’ve faced exclusion. * Understanding of the causes of homelessness and rough sleeping. * Familiarity with services across Braintree and Mid Essex. * A proactive, kind, and collaborative approach. * Access to your own vehicle with business insurance.
