Summary: The Governors of St. James' CE Primary School wish to appoint a highly motivated, hard-working, well organised and enthusiastic School Business Manager to work in our busy school office as part of a hardworking and dedicated team within our wonderful school. St. James' CE Primary School is a happy and friendly school with 230 pupils on roll from 3 years to 11 years old; well thought of in the community. We are an outstanding school with positive values, a friendly and dedicated team and excellent relationships with pupils and parents are important to us. We would like someone who is warm and friendly willing to go that extra mile for the benefit of our children and school. You will need excellent organisational skills, and the ability to use your own initiative and to work without supervision as directed by the Headteacher. You must be able to maintain confidentiality and deal sensitively with children, parents, governors and outside agencies.
Please note this post is term time only (plus three additional weeks and INSET days). Therefore, the salary quoted is full time equivalent and if successful, the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis. Visits to the school are most welcome and can be arranged by contacting in the school office. Essential Qualifications
* GCSEs at Grade C or above including English and Maths
Desirable Qualifications
* Working at or towards CSBM or equivalent qualification.
* Evidence of continuous INSET and commitment to further professional development
Essential Experience
* Experience of working in an administrative/finance role
* Experience in schools financial systems i.e. FMS
* Experience of the maintenance of management information systems i.e SIMs / Arbor
* Experience in working in an office environment
* Experience of Microsoft IT software packages
Desirable Experience
* Experience in working in a school environment
* Experience with on-line payment systems i.e SCOPAY
