Role Description

We are currently seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented fully experiencedBookkeeperto join our dynamic team. Both part-time and full-time applicants will be considered, full-time will carry out more responsibilities than those detailed below. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and will run the bookkeeping function independently, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory compliance. This role requires proficiency in Xero and a solid understanding of bookkeeping processes. Training will be limited, we therefore require a knowledgeable bookkeeper familiar with Xero, to be based at our Market Street office. Please note that self-employed and bookkeeping businesses will not be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage the company’s bookkeeping end to end, independently.
* Perform cash book/bank reconciliations and process payments.
* General ledger integrity, ensure all postings, journals and adjustments are accurate.
* Manage accruals and prepayments.
* Prepare and file VAT returns.
* Process expenses and reconcile supplier statements.
* Liaise with team members to ensure up-to-date financial information for decision-making.
* Generate various financial reports as required.
* Undertake other financial tasks as needed to support the team.

Qualifications:

* A minimum of10 years bookkeeping experience.
* Extensive experience usingXero accounting software.
* Extensive experience managing bookkeeping end to end, independently.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Experience in the property and maintenance industry is advantageous but not essential.
* The ideal candidate will be organised, conscientious, confident, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
